How to apply your make up to look younger?

any tips for applying make up and colours to use to create a more youthful appearnceHow to apply your make up to look younger?
Glow, and natural! (Going to try to keep this as cost efficient as possible!)

Make sure you have the PERFECT eyebrows. Eyebrows can make you look 10 years older, or 10 years younger. The perfect eyebrows for you, MAKE YOU. Go to an eyebrow specialist near you if you aren't sure about yours.

Get a smooth canvas... PRIME YOUR FACE! LOL. (It creates a smooth finish to your face)

since I'm thinking you're in the older age range I would definitely recommend this for a primer:

Now, get a nice colour over your face, that also gives you the appearance of glowy, dewy skin. For foundation i recommend ';Revlon photo ready foundation'; now this foundation does have sparkles, but those sparkles give your face a nice glow. This product is about 10$

Now use your daily face powder to set the liquid foundation. (Liquids ALWAYS have to be set by something dry to make them stay) don't put a lot just a dust over your face to set it so you don't lose the glow.

Now I found highlight.... take any shimmery white eyeshadow you have in your house (white, beige, something close to your skintone) and put some on a small contour brush and sweep the shadow on the spots the sun would naturally hit your skin. (Top of your cheek bones, bridge of your nice, cupids bow, forhead, and chin) If you have an oily T-ZONE skin the forehead, and the bridge of your nose)

Now take a warm blush (NYC has these duel toned mineral blushes and that lovely, take a nice pinky gold one from there and sweep it on your cheeks lightly, but closer to your contour area, it will slim your face and give you nice colour) This would be about 3$

Now that your face is done let's switch to eyes!

Get a nice eye primer for your eyes... I always slurge on primers, and eyeliners for the goodness of the quality...

so for your eye primer I would def. go with this one:

Put that all over your lid till your brow bone and rub it in.

1) Put a matte beige shadow all over your lid to your brow bone (creates a smooth base)

2) put a shimmery champagne colour on your lid.

3) Take a nice bronze and put it in your crease and your outer cornor.

4) Take a blending brush, blend lightly, lightly.

5) take a nice bronzy eyeliner (black is too harsh) and put it on your upper lashline, extending it into a wing, making your eyes look longer, and wider and more awake

6) Take a white eyeliner and put it on your waterline and in your inner corner of your eye ( blend the inner cornor) That will expand your eyes to the biggest possible!

lips:

Stay neutral!

1) moisturize your lips, make sure they're smooth...

put a nice natural colour lipstick on...

and in the middle take a gloss and dab it in the middle of your lips.

There you go! Youthful makeup

Try Covergirl on line. All you have to do is sign up load a photograph of yourself, and have fun trying on different looks. They also have live chat with a beauty consultant that can advise you on different styles of makeup.
To look younger, less is more.

To look OLDER, pack on the foundation.. it's sad, but once it settles into your laughing lines etc , it just emphasizes your age :'(
The best way too look younger is to try to keep all the colors as natural as possible. Go for a more natural look. Instead of using a eyeliner pencil use the shadow liner as it tends to look more smooth and natural as appose to the regular liner that looks sharp and darker. Neutral Colors is always a plus...so key is to LOOK AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE!!
Mix a bit of highlighter into your foundation, this will reflect the light off of your face and ppl won't notice and fine lines or wrinkles. The best thing to do though is to work with your skin texture and your base.. there are lot's of serums (some quite expensive unfortunately) which plump out your skin (making it look plush and youthful and filling out any lines). Loreal Genefique (I think that's the name - it's in a black bottle) is very good for this. Then use a thick foundation which is meant for anti-aging and plumping out the skin. Lancome's range is very good! The plumping out of the skin is what will make you look younger. Microdermabrasion and chemical peelings are great anti aging treatments also if you want to go to the extreme. Drinking green tea and lots of water, not too much alcohol, lots of good fats (nuts, oily fish, olive oil, flax oil) are also great. Colonic irrigation is good because it cleans out your system really thoroughly and it's easier than detoxing :-p apparently the build up of mucus and other substances in the colon are responsible for aging us faster. Always make sure you have a sun factor of 20 on your face (from your moisturiser or your foundation) even in winter, do always moisturise day and night after cleansing your face. Do a weekly hydrating / anti aging face mask.. and avoid sunbeds like the plague. Good luck.
