how long can you keep riding it for

Your CBT lasts for two years.If you do not go in for your test in that time you will have to retake your CBT.A car licence can in some circumstances rid the need for a CBT.But that depends on when you took your test.Also if you take your test on the 50cc you cannot ride anything bigger without L plates.


You may be happy with a 50cc now but in 2 years you may want a car or a bigger bike.So even though two years doesn't sound long a lot can happen in that time.


If I were you I would take the CBT and enjoy your two years on your scooter and worry about the rest when the time comes.How long can you ride a scooter after passing your cbt test on red L plates?
first the CBT is not a test it is Compulsory Basic Training hence CBT something every moped / motorbike / scooter learner has to complete before being allowed to take to the road the CBT needs to renewed every 2 year unless you pass the relevant test before the CBT expires

You will be issued with a CBT Pass Certificate to validate your driving on L Plates.


It will be validated for 2 years from the date you passed your CBT.


If you do not Pass your DRIVING TEST before it expires you are off the road until you Pass another one.

It will last you for two years. If in that time you don't pass you test or don't want to just do your CBT again and carry on for another two years.
