i stopped searching for happiness ages ago because simply its like hunting for a blessing of unicorns under the end of the Rainbow, with a leprechaun and pot of gold..... i always give happiness, so personally, my life wouldn't change one iota because i always DO just that.If you'd stop searching for happiness, but started to ';give'; happiness, how would your life change?
I don't quite know how to answer that, but if you stopped searching for happiness and therefore are unhappy i would suppose that you would not be very good and giving happiness to others. But I don't think you can make others happy. you can help them give them money or advice or friendship or whatever but these things will doubtfully make others happy in the true sense. but you can definitely make people appear happy or think they are happy for a time. It all depends on what happiness really is or rather what you think it is.If you'd stop searching for happiness, but started to ';give'; happiness, how would your life change?
You know, I think that once you start to give happiness then you will automatically will began to receive. It feels good to give, and once you start to give the happiness then it will start to flow in towards you.
its hard to give happiness when you're not happy. I'm not really searching for happiness either, kinda still... motionless
I guess you'd be more at ease with your current state and this would progress into contentment which would give way to happiness.
Generally giving others happiness has been proven to satisfy us also. Happiness is contagious, so if everyone around you is smiling because you have given them a reason to, you'll probably catch on somehow.
Happiness isn't something to be sought, so right away ending an endless hunt would be good. It is, however, something to be cultivated and grown, and bringing joy infects both the giver and the recipient - like a bubbling spring that both can drink from. So I think it would change your life by replacing an endless search with a wellspring of true joy.
Happiness is a state of a humble mind, everyone already has it but they keep looking for it in materialism, rather than within themselves.
This is a great secret that took me most of my life to realize.
';Happiness'; is a decision. Most would argue you can not chose how to feel %26amp; I would argue just the opposite.
It is very much the same as seeking Love. All my life I sought to feel Loved %26amp; rarely did.
But when I shifted from seeking to feel Loved to seeking simply Love I found I rarely felt unloved.
Generally I see happiness as quite different from Peace or contentment.
The later are an inside job, can be a constant state of Being to strive for, but happiness is always contingent on our judgment of outer circumstances.
Many Blessings!
Happiness is a decision. Just Be nailed it. It is a decision that brings joy and when that joy is shared it is multiplied. We can search and try to find happiness but more often brings temporary pleasure. A healthy spirit will have positivity naturally gravitate towards it.
Finding happiness in others happiness is a great character. Definitely the change would be great.
What ever the determinant before the change is, that IS the change, the new motivational need, self actualization.

Perhaps,in the new found selfless direction, toward the well-being of others, the personal search for happiness would be realized.
I give happiness.
But no one responded.
So I stopped.
If I looked handsome, then my giving of happiness would actually be valued.
I try to do that as much as I can. I do my best to bring a positive attitude wherever I go, I try to not let my emotions negatively affect others who don't deserve it. I wish I could give more... Great question !!

happiness is relatively what different people/animals like differently. some want this and some want that. there is no actual common ground of happiness in the swirling wind with its life-energy being fueled by the lust, anger and ignorance of these people.
There are beings that like to eat others to survive and ease their craves. there are people who need others for reasons. obviously you can't give their happiness - with whatever amount of your effort. You have about 3 trillions of microbes live in and on your own very skin by the way - they are not happy when you take a shower or a bath - whilst you're thinking about a few people around you. If you could give happiness to everyone, than you need to think everyone should be able to do so - and we know it's not possible.
All you can do is to live and support yourself and some people/beings who really need you directly or you many extend somewhat to those who need you indirectly.
a human has a limit - to support for what good and to give others. nobody can go beyond that limit.
What you can really give to everyone/ every being is the silent love of friendliness.
It's the times when we search for happiness within the superficialities of the world that we find ourselves most unhappy. That gorgeous pair of shoes or latest model car puts us on cloud nine for only so long.
Happiness is a fleeting emotion, one we should not base our life on. But when we change the desire to be happy for the desire for inner peace, only then can we truly achieve joy, and then when are soul is truly quenched with that joy, we can share it with others.
