How to get over your first love ? /:?

it's been two years now since we broke up and i KNOW im still in love with him /: I don't understand why though he puts me through so much and is always hurting me , just something about him always makes me go back. I'm currently talking to this guy at the moment and he's amazing everything i ever wanted and i really do care about him but deep down i still know i love my first love and idk what to do . when i talk to him i get soo happy and i don't want that because i want someone who will treat me right , i've given him too many chances, it just seems like no matter what he does to me i'll still love him . I've tried not being friends with him it just doesnt work /: i just don't know what to do ... how did you get over your first love ?How to get over your first love ? /:?
i havent got over mine and mine was 4-5 yeas ago but i tried dating someone else and it eases it a wee bitHow to get over your first love ? /:?
I spent loads of time with my best mates and they all told me what an idiot he was.


You really just need to realise that your life is better without him and that its his loss and not yours :)

You never really do. You just find someone you love more, and then you forget about them... not easy, but possible.
You've ';given him too many chances'; and that is that. I don't understand how people say they never get over their first love. I am totally over mine. I can't even stand the thought of that person. Just LET IT GO and the right guy will come for you!!! You'll forget all about him!
IMO, our ';first love'; may be the toughest to let go. It was the first time we felt those amazing feelings associated with ';love.'; However, if he is hurting you and you still love him, that may be because you are in love with what you would like him to be (a projection), rather than himself. You also may be hoping things would have worked out the way you wanted it to. Remember that you deserve better, and I'm sure the guy of your dreams will enter your life! I hope all goes well!

well cat maybe you weren'tt really in love with him. i know it hurts but give the new guy a chancemaybey you will fall in love with him too and he will treat you better. and how to get over your love, only time can heal a wound, but really it is never fully better
